So the Agito novel is finally wrapped out. You can find the last chapter right here.
Overall, I had fun translating this novel, but the content itself was honestly disappointing. I loved the Agito show and was intrigued by the concept of a retelling of the show, but the novel really did not do much to make itself stand out. It did offer a bit more character background compared to the show in some aspects, but it didn’t actually do much unique with the characters themselves. Oftentimes it felt like things were told differently from the show just for the sake of having something different. Basically, the novel had a lot of good build-up but ultimately ended before much at all even happened. The writing style itself also often felt very simplistic compared to the previous novel I translated, Kuuga, which felt like it had a lot of nuance and weight to it, but I supposed that could be attributed to it being written by the writer of its show. I think it overall would have been better if it was longer.
Now, I originally was going to start working Ryuki next, but as I was working on it, I found out that there actually are Ryuki novel translations already done, which can be found here, albeit a good chunk of them are only chapter summaries. Regardless, it might not be worth it to translate these compared to the other novels, but I’ll probably work on the Faiz novel instead. However, I still have three Ryuki chapters translated, so I’ll just share those with you guys for now. You can find them right here. If there’s enough interest, maybe I’ll keep doing Ryuki, but right now it just doesn’t feel worth the effort.
Someone please let me know if there already are completed/ongoing Faiz novel translations out there so I don’t make the same mistake again lol.
I completed translating the Agito novel for the sake of giving the English-speaking community to experience it, but hopefully the Faiz novel will prove to be better. Faiz is actually my favorite KR series, so I’m looking forward to it. I hope you all enjoyed keeping up with the Agito novel, and I hope you’ll check out my Faiz translations, too.
Thanks for reading.
I just discovered your translations, and I’m so excited to read them! I’ve had the 555 light novel on my shelf for a couple years now, and have hoped and dreamed of someone translating it– so I do hope you’ll move on to that one! Thank you for linking to the Ryuki novel too, I’ll check it out.

Hey Kamen Rider Novel Translations,
I have read Faiz last year and Agito this year. I really enjoy and appreciate your work of translating KR novels. I finished Faiz immediately because Faiz is also my favourite KR however I took a whole year to finish Agito because it was quite basic yet it was fun learning new words in the novel because my vocabulary is not advanced.
At the moment I just finished Wizard series and it had so much potential until tokusatsu put censorships in it. Anyways I will put Wizard novel in my reading list and will catch up with my other books.
Also I think there is a final Faiz novel that you did not translate, I think it is about 70% of humanity turning into orphnochs. I hope you can check on that.
Thank you for translating KR novels.
